Hi! I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm having a lot of trouble, so I thought I'd try putting it out there. I'm trying to create a youtube account. But I can't get the verification audio captia to work so I can sign up. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a way to fix it? I'd really appreciate some help on this one.
Thanks in advance!
What browser and operating system are you using and do other audio capcha files work? Perhaps, you have that file type set to the wrong player or you accidentally turned off your browser's ability to play streams/multi media? I was able to create an account without a problem.
IE8 and Windows xp home. Other cpatias work just fine.
Very strange. You should try it with Firefox, just to see what happens. I haven't used IE in awhile and have never used 8, so can't advise you there, but I've never seen other versions behave in that manner. I wonder if there's a way for you to actually download the file so that you could play it with Windows Media Player?
Perhaps, you can try Solona. I used it when I had IE and it worked nicely.
What's sonoa?
Solona is a free service with people who read capchas and then give them to you. It works with Internet Explorer and can be found here.

For Firefox, there's a free add-on called Web Visim. I've never used it but it's supposed to be good. As with Solona, you sign up for it, but this one's automated. However, I have no clue where or how to get it, as a Google search doesn't provide the site. I know that, at one time, you had to get invited to use it and/or there were strict requirements but I'm not sure how much that's changed.
